Man, oh Man

Well, this is quite a treat! Twice in a 5-day span, not very usual, that is for sure!

I will tell you what, I now understand even better the purpose of marriage. There are just certain duties that a man should take of, and certain contributions a woman should make to the marriage. Nate left last Wednesday for work and has been in Atlanta. Of course, it seems that with him leaving town, some type of whirlwind of madness enters!

The last time Nate left town, that VERY day, our tree in our front yard broke in a storm. He didn't get to partake in sawing off the remainder of the branch, or sawing the branches into pieces for a "bundle" that the trashcrew would pick up, just to watch them drive off and leave it because it wasn't up to par!

Once again, with his departure this time, there has been an onset of stormy weather. So much rain for days at a time! Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about the rain, I very much appreciate it! It is what happens after the rain...

Thursday it rained all day. Friday, I got home to find some type of bug walking across my kitchen floor. Of course, I screamed then beat it to death with a flip flop to ensure it would not jump as I reached over to pick it up with an entire roll of paper towels. As if that wasn't bad enough...

Saturday I wake up, go into the kitchen, start a pot of coffee, then pick up a towel on the counter to find a waterbug underneath it. Takes me a while...but I get rid of it. Sunday morning, first a junebug, followed by a rolly polly. Then, walking through the living room, something catches my eye...oh not to worry...this time it is only an 8" long earthworm!

In fact, I just got up to kill some type of jumping spider in the middle of blogging this! Ahh!

I tell you what, it is like they know I am alone!

Oh, by the way, I just got a call from Nate. He is coming home tomorrow, yippee! Then he follows that statement with..."I am leaving again Thursday for Chicago."

I guess I better get some raid...

I'm with you...killing bugs is a husband's duty. ESPECIALLY wasps and huge water bugs! That totally stinks that it's happening while Nate is gone. You can buy your own pest spray that you can spray around the edge of your house that's supposed to create a barrier to keep them from coming in. I'll tell you if it works when we actually use the bottle we bought!

Wait a second.... Girls can kill bugs? All those times when I was in the middle of "important things" like watching baseball, and I had to be so inconvenienced to press pause so that I could come step on the sugar ant, and Kim could have done the deed?! This is good info, thanks Mary.
